New quality products by “Agrocelina” and “Nektar”

Harvest and post-harvest

Today was the last training session about the GAP standards held in Krushe e Madhe within the project “South Kosovo Agriculture Economic Development” funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo.
In this training session was discussed about “Harvesting and post-harvest” where was explained about the ways of harvesting the peppers, differences between the ripe and unripe peppers, ways of removing the weeds, methods of packaging the peppers in a sack, and the cleaning of peppers before packaging.

Harvest and post-harvest

During this session was visited a farmers’ field while harvesting the peppers, where was discussed about “Harvest and post-harvest”. In this training was explained about the pepper ripening and harvest-time, ways of packaging the peppers in plastic bags and the ways of transporting the peppers to Collection Points.

Personal hygiene

The training session was about the Personal hygiene where the workers were supervised along the processing line. During this session was showed the right way of cleaning the hands and disinfecting and the keeping cleaned the working place; removing the flowers from cucumbers was another suggestion where workers have to be more careful. Also was explained the proper way and conditions of setting the packed jars.

Personal hygiene

We have continued with training session about the Personal hygiene where the workers were supervised along the processing line. Were showed the right way of cleaning the hands and disinfecting, removing the flowers from cucumbers and criteria’s for implementing the HACCP.

Practical personal hygiene

During this session the trainer has supervised the workers on processing line, starting from their personal hygiene (clothes, nails, jewelleries); was monitored their work during the cleaning of cucumbers and filling the cucumbers in the jars.

Harvest and post harvesting

During this session was discussed about “Harvesting and post-harvesting”, with the main focus on cucumbers. During this training session were showed few practices related to the fruit ripening time, pre-cooling and cooling, cleaning, vegetable grading and sorting, packaging and the storing in existing farm infrastructure.

Personal hygiene in practical way

The next training sessions was held in Mamusha/Mamuša/Mamuşa and was attended by the new staff members of Agriculture Cooperative “Nektar”.

In this session was explained the hygiene where was demonstrated the proper ways of hand washing and disinfection; they were monitor while working if any of them has any grooming (jewellery, nail polish, pins or watches).

Personal hygiene

Today we started with the first training sessions about the “Personal hygiene” held in Mamusha/Mamuša/Mamuşa within the project “South Kosovo Agriculture Economic Development” funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo. This workshop was attended by the new staff members of Agriculture Cooperative “Nektar” who will work among the processing line.

Exchange visit in Kosova

Today was organized another exchange visit for farmers within the project “SKAED – South Kosovo Agriculture Economic Development” funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo. First was visited the processing factory “Etlinger” in Shtime/Śtimle and “ASK Food” factory in Gjilan. Collection points and farmers had the opportunity to see the new modern technology of storing the vegetables and fruits, from low temperatures to deep freezing which were built according to EU standards and where vegetables and fruits can be stored for a long time.
